ü  Fire, lack of alternative energy, infrastructure development, mining, refugee expansion, resettlement and migration should be treated in the drivers list.

ü  Under indirect Causes of Deforestation and Forest Degradation legal aspects of PFM need to be revisited and the mandates of different institutions need to be well defined in the strategy

ü  On measures to Address the Underlying Drivers and Improve Enabling Environment the participant give comment that the strategy should consider customary laws and community laws because it has very important for compliance seeking, as REDD+ implementation needs huge resources, the strategy should include resource mobilization activities/strategies and incorporate necessary resources such as finance, human resources and logistics.

ü  The strategy should consider customary laws and community laws because it has very important for compliance seeking.

ü  As REDD+ implementation needs huge resources, the strategy should include resource mobilization activities/strategies and incorporate necessary resources such as finance, human resources and logistics.

ü  As REDD+ is a multi sectoral issue, the body mandated to coordinate the national program has to be more capacitated institutionally. So, the structure better be modified in such a way that both climate change, environment and forest leadership in the have coordination. We suggest the REDD+ secretariat be accountable to the national leadership mandated to all environment, climate change and forestry.
